LESSONS AT DRUMSENS MUSIC
BEGINNER
Beginner lessons can be the most rewarding experience, since students often make fast progress in a relatively short time. The focus is on getting you familiar with basic note values, playing basic beats, fills and rudiments as well getting started with playing tunes that you love.
INTERMEDIATE
By the time you get to the intermediate level you will be really comfortable with playing different hi-hat ostinatos with eighths and sixteenth note bass/snare grooves. You will be confident articulating 16th note rhythms and 8th note triplet rhythms. Technique wise you will be ready to push your double strokes to the next level and start playing open rolls at faster speeds.
ADVANCED
Here you will strengthen your overall versatility by learning the rich grooves and rhythmic concepts of different styles like: Afro-Cuban, Jazz, Funk and RnB music. You will develop solid time and feel to your playing, exploring topics from triplet-based blues to gospel patterns, and everything in between.
